Throats really sore right now and I'm starting to cough and get congested. If I'm not in my death bed I'll be there.

If JoeLie is showing up, I may have to come... I've been meaning to kick him off a mountain.

This ride sounds fun... but don't you think it will be REALLY crowded with hikers this weekend? Also, the forecast is calling for upper 90's inland.

First, no, I'm not riding this Sunday nor this weekend. I have fatherly obligations and too many BBQ's to attend. I'm playing sweeper (aka a vacuum) at all food tables.

Second, if you plan on kicking my lard-arss off the mountain, I hope you're planning on bringing your husband along to help because we both know you and your petite lil' self can't do it alone.

Aren't you still sore from the last whipping we handed you last week? Oh, I forgot, you love lashings and getting roughed-up here and there. Easy enough!

Yes, a fair amount but to be honest with you, it was a blessing in disguise. Everyone enjoyed the little breaks here and there to allow hikers to pass by. I know I took full advantage and dismounted for every hiker, out of courtesy, of course.

If it's hot like it was Sunday, an early start time will be a must.

Thanks Joe,

I didn't think about the hidden "break" benefit.

just got home from the movies at which i realized my left arm and leg which had been itching with small "bites" is actually poison oak. The internet is a wonderful thing. I blame it on one of two crashes that put me on my left side just off the trail.

If you have padding, bring it. Nice to have, not a must as half of us didn't wear any, but it'd be a good place to use it.

I'd definitley suggest bringing pads along. Even if you don't eat $#it, there are plenty of opportunites to bang your elbows/side of your knees against the walls on areas where the trail really narrows.....will also help protect you from poison oak.
