Should I worry about tire's sidewall getting slashed on this trail?

Here's a good reason to find some nice, light, able to ride in all day, elbow pads.

I really like my new 661 Evo's for my elbows, and my Kyle Straights for my knee's.

Come on now.
The DHing, is what makes all the climbing worth it!

Depends on how hard you plan on charging the rocks!

I'm leaning real hard on showing up again. Anyone else interested in going on up the road, and hitting Middle Merrill also.

I am down for whatever, as long as you don't mind waiting a bit?

Jojo, I have an extra set of elbow pads. They are very used though, but if you want to use them they are yours!

i would be inclined to add this to the route, but I can count at least 5 people that are going that have never ridden up there at all. And you know when we get to the ruins if you ask that question, you'll get a bunch of no's I know it'll keep getting hot throughout the day too I don't see any fast climbers coming this time either. Guess it'll be a decision when we get up there

p.s. you still have those eggbeaters?

I'm still undecided. I forgot about it being a Holiday weekend, and the idea of traffic comming back.
I do still have the pedals. They're in my car. They'll be in your car Sunday if I make it.

Just a few thoughts...... how long did it take to do the ride last week? 2.5 hrs or so? And how much longer does the top part add? Maybe an hour? I would think about starting at 0700 at the trailhead (lake st.) and meeting the rest of the crew at the ruins, or something like that. The FR from Millard to El P. is where its gonna be HOT if you hit it too late in the day......

I'd guesstimate it's about 3/4 mile above the Arroyo/Windsor exit off the 210 freeway. Windsor Avenue northbound will take you right to the Gabrielino trailhead at Ventura Street. Parking lot is on the left just before you have to turn right at Ventura Street.

Well, I'm out. I'm gonna stay local.

Rock'in, take your 4" bike. The big bike would be overkill for this ride. Did it on the hardtail last week, and it was FUN!
