Default RR: Washington Style

I just back from a family vacation to Seattle/Tacoma. My friend was able to convince his riding buddies to let me borrow bikes. I got to ride a reign and a stinky, both were perfect.
The most amazing part of the riding there is the trails might only cover 5 acres, but be 4 miles long, like a tapeworm. One of the trails was about 6 miles long, a great workout and I never had to shift gears. The trail just went up and down and around and over the landscape, totally different kind of riding than around here. The weather was great too. You guys were burning up down here in the 100's I was riding in 65 degrees.

This is what the trails looked like.

These are the nasty, snotty roots everyone talks about and I never understood, until now. Its like riding on ice.

Here are a few of the features that I had the courage to try. Many were just too much for me.

Gotta love the concentration!!

I gotta get back up there soon.

I got to ride up there a few years back. I loved riding thru the green stuff. We also rode up in the Cascades and that was phenomenal. We were kind of pushed for time so we shuttled. It took us 4 hours to descend and we were really moving. I'll be going back next year.
