Put Jason and me down for a YES! We're also interested in carpooling. We can fit 2 more in our truck. If any of you's want to throw in some gas money, we'll drive. Timmy and Jesse - you guys mentioned you were going. Let me know if you want to carpool.

Calvin aka "Superman" will be there as well, but he was going to ride his own ride since he wants more climbing and distance. We'll probably see him at some point..., flying overhead.

Question SART or not to SART

I've never done SART before. It sounds way fun and I sure would like to meet you all. It's a long way from Palmdale though so need opinions...

I haven't been able to ride much since December and am out of shape but I remember how to ride well (raced sport XC for 10 yrs or so). I have a stumpy hard-tail; my FS bike was stolen recently.

Should I drive down for this ride or will I need a heli-rescue halfway through?

thanks

If you've raced sport XC for 10 years then you sound to be in good shape. Lots of SART 1st timers going here so I'm sure we'll have lots of re-groups so we don't lose anyone. I say come out and join us.

willie - looks like the 4runner's full as of right now. Jesse and myself, plus danny (bighit) and ryandood. If anything changes i'll let you know - carpooling's suddenly veeery popular...

Ok, I'm in - I'll try to get a couple buds to share gas and join me (they're in much better shape than me)

Looks like 2 hours drive from Palmdale if I take 138 over to 215 - mapquest. Any suggestions on faster better route?

I may have to join FFW on his little trip, I currently have plans, but if the plans changed, I will hit you up Dave, and carpool with you. So, put me down as a maybe for now.

Does this need an "Adventure Pass" to park at the Country Store?

The address given...Navi can't find a match, but google maps can, had to use Coordinates to find the area. Here are the coordinates for Angelous Oak: 34° 8′ 45″ N, 116° 58′ 57″ W

Willie - I'm still trying to figure out how much work that I'm going to have this weekend. If I do decide to do this ride, I'd be up to meet you and Jason at your place and carpool. I do need to be in OC in the afternoon, anyhow. Plus, I really want to take a look at the F4 frame

If you get that frame you'll be set for both down hill and all mountain-ish frames. Freakin' mark man. Hope you can join us this Sat.

Count me in!!

I was originally hoping to go to Downieville, but it turns out I have an interview on Friday and another on Tuesday, that I'll be flying to New Jersey for, so it's best I stay closer to home this weekend.

And if cold brews next a pool sound good, we can head to my house after the ride.

PS: We gotta figure out a way to do the loop behind the post office, it's a blast! Maybe I can head up early and do it before you guys get there.
