Default sorry, cholo.

you know cholo. this is taken from www.urbandictionary.com:

1) Mexican Gangster

2) Mexican Gangster Style
1) "My homeboy got shot up by some cholos from Norte." OR "I'm cruisin' the eastside with a couple cholos."

2) "Hey ese, check out that vato over there looking all cholo."

I hope I'm not offending anyone.

DINO's avatar is far from looking like a "vato loco". how about we do a nice urban ride in East L.A. and see the real thing. i'd love to be able to run my Panaracers over their necks!! (sorry, i grew up in East LA and cholo's piss me off)

Thanks, but no need for all that .
I'm not the sort of dude that keeps track of such things.

I just called aliso (3:15 Thursday) and they are saying closed....bummer

Yesterday and Today have been mostly sunny all day, so maybe they'll open soon. And the noaa forecast has reduced the rain chances to 40%.

Anyone ride STT this week? May be one of the few options this weekend...

I might be down with an STT ride, depending on the time and day.

STT is probably fine, just the Luge may be another story. I'm really hoping we don't get much if any rain so we can get a group ride in on Sunday somewhere.

I hear ya....

I went from having a free weekend to having all sorts of bike-stopping activities:
may have to work sat and have to pick up my wife from airport sun

but I may sneak a ride in friday

yeah, I have to ride early if I am going get one in. I have to go visit my in-laws later that day. Why is STT better in the rain? I have never been there, it's out and back , right?

I think b/c of the soil type (decomposed granite? someone correct me if I'm wrong).

For me, the beauty of STT lies in the variety. It can be run as a quick loop (STT to Vulture Crags (a.k.a. "the Luge") or just an out & back (front gate to flag pole and back). You can ride to Old Camp (a.k.a. Old Cramp) for a much bigger ride. And you can even tack-on Whiting for more options.

It's a modest grade, but not killer. I highly recommend it.

To get back to the main topic of the thread...

If trails and skies are dry I'll be riding Aliso Woods, if not probably STT. I'll be starting around 9 or 9:30. Hopefully I'll be able to meet some new STR members. 949 525-2616
