Talking Whiting Ranch - Grand Opening Ride

Date: July 12
Time: 8:45 AM

Where: meet at the Portola entrance near Ralphs (park your car wherever, or even ride your bike to the park)

Why: 'cos we can

In anticipation of the park opening (news) a ride through Whiting Ranch.

Meet at the entrance adjacent to the Ralphs supermarket at 8:45 to ride at 9am.

A beginner friendly ride. We will do some sort of loop, with a few excursions for those that are interested.

extra credit? Now where's the fun in that?

I can't wait to get back out to whiting...miss having that as one of the places to go hit after work! And I haven't had a reason to go to Inka Mama since whiting burned - that's some good post-ride peruvian food!

yeah, i ended up catching up on the yardwork i've been neglecting for a month or so - pruning trees, weeding, all sorts of fun stuff. So much better than riding some silly poker ride, i'm sure...i'll be back in the saddle next weekend, finally.

just a thought. it might not be a bad idea to limit the group size just to be kind to the trails. 30+ riders blowing through some newly repaired trails could be a little damaging. maybe somebody who's been doing work out there could give us some input. otherwise, i'm in.

edit- just realized that it's a thursday, which should be pretty self-limiting. never mind...

edit #2- i can't read a calendar, so...does anyone share the concern about hordes of riders on new trails?
