Default Ventura Country MTBers?

Just curious, as I am new to this site......any riders out there in the Ventura County or even West LA area where you ride Sullivan Canyon or other close trails?

While I am really looking forward to hooking up with fellow riders outside of my local hills, it would be great to know if anybody is close since the majority of the time i simply cant 'escape' for extended periods of time.

cheers

I ride in the Santa Monica's quite a bit. Send me a message when you want to hook up for a ride. I've yet to ride the East and West Los Robles Trail in Ventura County if you ever want to do that ride.

Well, I lived in Santa Barbara about 8 years ago so I can't really comment on the trails. All I can say is that is the BEST freakin avatar EVER Foshizzle!

thanks my friend......the other site (mtbr.com) kept asking me to remove my avatars. They simply did not appreciate my artistic side. Thanks for the compliment.

cool! will do. I am trying to make the DSTEPPER Strawberry Peak ride this Saturday but may not be able to given a previous family commitment.

However, if I dont, I am definitely going out Sunday as my riding time has gone way down and I need to ride every chance I get.....I would like to hit the Sullivan Canyon area as I am really liking that general area after having some friends show it to me recently.

cheers

There are some very fun singletrack sections at the top of Sullivan Canyon (Upper Hectic, Lower Hectic, Caballero, Farmers) or even a ride to the Will Rogers Backbone trail and then return to Sullivan via J-Drop and Squirrel Cage singletracks.

The Hectic and J-Drop singletracks are some of the most technical trails I have ever done (but very fun).

Here is a link to a route that incorporates all of the above mentioned trails except Farmers:
