Hey Landshark,

i talked to T2, last night while we rode over at CWP/Webb Canyon, and he told me that Cucamonga Canyon was a bit beat up but doable. he rode there not too long ago. i rode that region for many years, and it was always rideable even after the rains. so i wouldn't worry whether it was rideable or not.

i used to go up there a lot for training rides, i'd specifically ride up the Sapphire st./Almond ave. entrance up into the canyon then ride up to Frankish Peak then back. I've also entered Cucamonga canyon from the west off of Mt. Baldy road, but that's a hellacious fireroad climb.

I'd like to make a loop out of that whole area soon, starting from: 19th st. & Campus Ave. then going up Euclid Ave to Mt. Baldy road to Barrett Stoddard Truck trail up to the saddle then down West Cucamonga truck trail to Frankish peak. down Frankish peak continue down (east) on West Cucamonga truck trail to Cucamonga canyon then up to San Sevaine, then down to saphire, which would take you all the way down to 19th and then to Camous. i haven't done the whole loop yet, i actually got shuttled like 10 years ago (i avoided all the road climbing) when i did the majority of that ride back then just rode home from Cucamonga canyon at the end of the ride.

mileage and altitude gain for this loop would be major. i would like to see if i have any takers for a killer long ride of this sort. i wouldn't want to ride it alone.

Default Killer Ride

I know that route well from my offroadin' days but way outa my league on a bike adding that climb up Baldy Road just to reach the trail. My helmet is off to you or anyone taking that one on but a fun ride I'm sure.

If you get any takers I'll park below Hogs Back to join in and go as far as Frankish from Baldy.

No problem! I didn’t hear from ya so I didn’t change my plans that day. I usually like to ride Mondays, Wednesdays and sometimes Fridays. But if u want to ride any other day just let me know.

There’s a cool ride on Sat. let me know if u're down.
