Is the Ralph's parking lot the same as the McDonald's, Sav-On parking lot?

edit - It appears the address is to the south of the Whiting parking lot, and also on the same side of Portola. Is that correct?

No, it's on the other side of Portola. I guess you can say the east side of Portola.

As far as parking I always park in front of Ralph's and save the $3 parking fee at the Whitting trail head parking lot.

I checked out the route on geoladders. It looks like a good one. Does anybody know the actual condition of Joplin right now? What about the poison oak situation?

I've done this "loop" a number of times and it's one of my favorites. I've got family obligations or I'd join you. Best do it now before they close it for the horny toads.

Hopefully skunks and poison ivy won't be an issue...

I just wanted to let anyone who is riding tomorrow know how to find me: I drive a black Civic coupe and ride a Green Iron Horse with gold handlebars-yes...gold. I don't know of anyone else that sports them (I am sure your out there), but I love em'. Like duke, I’ll be in the parking lot.

I guess it had been a while since trmcnulty had been riding, so by the time he got up Mustard in Whiting he was done. Since it was just me and him and he was unfamiliar with the trail we just rode cactus back to the cars. Cacuts suprised me though, they re-routed some of the sections.

Yeah, overall it was a pretty embarrassing day.
Only 3 weeks without riding and I am horribly out of shape. I will have to catch up with you guys after I have ridden more consistently.
Thanks for your patience today Steve.

I have not riden El Moro Falls and was thinking about giving it a try tomorrow.

Rob, have you riden it yet? The ranger told me today that it is open and bike legal...it is not marked but I think I know where it starts off Moro Ridge.

You're not talking about BVD that drops down to the bottom of Old Emerald are you? If so I've done that and didn't care for it much. If that isn't it then which trail are you speaking of and where does it start? I think I've done most all of the trails in El Moro/LCWP.

Tomorrow I'm going to break in the new Spot at Maple Springs/Motorway
