Default Santiago Oaks, Friday 3/24

Assuming it's open, I plan to do the Santiago Oaks-Irvine RP thing this Friday.

Will spend a little time at the play area up top and possibly add the Weir Cyn. loop for a bit more mileage.

If anyone cares to join, I'll be at the Hidden Cyn. Rd. trailhead at 9:30a. Let me know, I'll keep an eye out.

If you could change your start time to around 1:00 pm I'd love to join you.

I'd go Dale, but I work Mon-Friday. My Huckler has been neglected for the past two weeks.

I'm between classes now (and I'm spending all week on my azz in front of the computer working) so I'd like to join you on that!

Is this one of those "I need to call Irvine RP and tell them I'm coming" rides or shall I just show up?

No problem, C. I got a surprise day off, so the whole thing's wide open.

Tex, can you make it at this later time? No need to call ahead btw, just show up.

Yeah I can do later in the day. I'd probably prefer that than dealing with the morning rush hour...I'm still somewhat burned out on traffic after that I-15 High-Desert Hell.

damn, you guys were hauling azz compared to us!

Actually I didn't even let myself look at the clock but it felt like FOREVER to get from Barstow to the 215 split...

It was a great ride! The longer climbs of SoCal took their toll, but it was nice being back.

Saw the first rattler of the season...

Default Good ride

Ride was great. the trails were in very good condition given the rain we had recently. I think "Dale" has some pic's.

ps - If "Dale" tells you "there's not much climbing on this next loop" be prepared.

Finished off the ride with some Sapporo's at some Chinese place with kick-ass ribs and pot stickers. We found the place on accident, but it was a good call by Lance.

Thanks for the tour buddy.

Good ride today. Pretty warm, but we got into a rhythm soon enough. Even saw a couple deer 1/2 way up B!tch #2.

And of course, post ride bevvies/apps were nice, too

A few pics:

#1: Baby rattler
#2: Craig, takeoff
#3: Me
#4: Lance dropping in
#5: Craig rolling a steep one.

Edit: Haven't gotten the hang of posting photos...
