Flying into Portland to see a few of my clients. Staying just outside around 15 to 20 minutes form the airport. I have never been riding up there outside of the Oregon sand Dunes on a dirtbike so I was wondering if I should bring my bike? Good shop to call to find some trails? Any STR'ers up there already? I do like beer so its on me if you take me on the hidden gems of the area. Need all the info I can get... Its either the rogue or the single.

I was in Portland area a couple of weeks ago to visit friends. They took us on a couple of rides and they were great. First day went to a place called Black Mountain (can't remember the whole name) and it was a huge bike park all built by volunteers. Had skinnys, drops and jumps of all sizes. Second day we went to Gail Creek which was a flowing downhill. We shuttled that and did a couple of runs on that. Both were about an hours drive outside of the Portland area. Let me know and I'll see if I can hook you up with my buds up there.

There's some good stuff over in Troutdale. Check with the LBS there (sorry, can't recall the name). We also found some fun stuff up SE Division St towards MT Hood. That was a blast, but it was very cold.
