SS is brutal! Brutal! Super fun but I kept trying to shift. The REBA Race pop lock is great! Locking out on climbs is sweeet. It's still like taking a beach cruiser out on the trails, but super fun. I sleep now.

I started out at Milf and headed up Cholla. That was tough, then down Lynx and Coyote then up Mathis. After Mathis it was over to TOW then down Meadows. At the bottom of Meadows I headed back up again, then down rock-it and over to Five Oaks. Five Oaks was a tough climb. I had to stop once and adjust the seat. At the top of Oaks I just rode back to the car. It started to rain so I cut the ride short, but I wanted to see how the SS would do.

Is that like 15 miles in 1.5 hours on a SS 29er? You must of had those big wheels spinning really fast.

yeah, it started to rain about 7:30 so I had to head back.








*I've never BSed so hard in my life. hahaha

I went to pack the car and it was sprinkling so I rode at the end of Ridge Route. There's some little BMX track the kids set up and some little dirt hill climbs.

CarWreck is not a legal trail. I have been busted for riding illegal trails in this park and the fun is not worth the punishment!! Aside from the financial issues, it took time from work (in the courthouse) and paints a bad image for the biking community. I will be remaining on legal trails.

According to the RMP (Resource Management Plan) for the park (not yet approved), Car Wreck is on the "to be opened" trails.

We just can't talk about it here... no mention of closed or illegal trails. It's part of the STR pledge.

Yes, I will ride from my house to Meadows, go up and down meadows and then back toward the road. I should be at the meadows trail head (near the pavement) around 5:35 or so.
