I have a buddy of mine who rides Aliso a lot said they just opened that up a month ago. The do not enter sign is no longer there. Also, I have been seeing a lot of bikers riding down that trail lately. I'll ask the park ranger about it next time.

P.S. Andy, you are right. If it's illegal, it's not worth getting a ticket.

Next time, let's get Foo situated at the 1st steep switchback on Meadows taking pictures of us on beach cruisers. Let's all take the steepest (straight-up) line.

My understanding is if the trail is open there will be signs designating it as a legal trail at both trail enterences (top and bottom.) If the signs are not there.... it is still closed. Too many people have removed (illegally) closed signs from the enterences. So the rangers are rightfully angery about this and up'ed the anti.

What a pain in the butt!

Okay, what do you guys think about this route next time?
We all will start at MILF park on beach cruisers riding up to 5 Oaks. Then we will go down 5 Oaks (Foo at the bottom snapping sequences pictures near the bottom steps) and then cruise over to Meadows. Ride up Meadows (Foo at the 1st steep switchback taking pictures of us attempting the steepest possible line). Cruise TOTW and down Rock-it (Foo situated in the rock garden taking a group photo of us holding our beach cruisers over our heads) and out.

I'll bring my old beat-up Schwinn knock-off beach cruiser with surf racks. I'll be ready to roll once I pump up those huge white-wall tires and lube the chain. I really don't know how my bars are going to handle down that 1st drop at 5 Oaks. Did anyone try this on a cruiser?

It must be like $200 more now.

I noticed the other day at El Moro that some illegal trail signs have been painted over and when I was climbing up Meadows the other day I saw horse poop near the top 1/3. It just makes you wonder who is doing all of this.

This isn't showing up in the calendar roll. No idea why, can't get an answer, but I'll give it a quick bump so people remember.

Tim,

Is the ride still on for tomorrow?

I'm meeting some friends at MILF park/Canyon Vista at 5:00pm.

It's not showing up because the original date at the top of the thread still shows 05-15-2008.

It looks like you did it right, since the date at the top actually says 05-15-2008 to 05-15-2009. Hmm, dunno.....
