Carbon Canyon Regional Park to Chino Hills Ride
Very late notice: This ride is back on again. I know there are other rides like the Boomer ride and the Traverse, but if you don't like those options, join Patrick and me on this very slow ride up to 4 Corners and then on to Raptor Ridge and back. If you decide to join us, bring lots of water. It looks like the temps have dropped just a little... maybe just 1-2 degrees. It's still going to be record breaking temps. Are we stupid to ride in this weather? ![]() Meet at the bathrooms on the north side of the lake at 8:45am. I'll be riding a blue 29er and I'll be ready to roll. Free street parking in the housing track across CCRP entrance. http://www.ocparks.com/carboncanyon/ http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=e...16544&t=k&z=16 http://www.singletrackmind.com/Trail...rnia_Index.htm |

With all the coyote attacks around Chino Hills, I'm thinking that we can scare those coyotes out of the area.

I think efmc is referring to Lee not having kids.
At any rate, this may explain (a little, but not completely ) the 'Swiper' thing:http://www.nickjr.co.uk/shows/dora/swiper.aspx |

On an unrelated note (maybe actually related?), I'll check if the gf is up for a ride on Saturday. She hasn't been to Chino Hills yet.

Mileage is about 12 miles total. It's 6 miles up and 6 miles down. It is a steady but not steep climb up to 4 Corners and then you cruise down.
We did a newbie ride there in September and it is perfect terrain for newer riders. This was my wife's first dirt ride. She struggled a bit, but she did it without problems. It will be challenging by won't kill you.
