For those intrested I'll be doing a couple push-ups the Big M trail on Box Springs Mtn between Mo Val and Riverside. Probably going to start around 8. It's a 45-60 minute hike/ride up and nearly 10 minute decent for even the really fast folks. I do around 11-12 min runs.
Incase you don't know the trail it's fairly easy to intermediate with a few bumbp sections. It starts at the towers just above the M and comes out near the highschool on Pigeon Pass. |

There's a dirty lot at the bottom near the HS.
Headed north on Pigeon Pass turn left on Hidden Springs Drive. After about 1/4 mile there's a small sign and dirt road. on the left follow it about 200 yards to the lot. Who are Team Dirty Work? Whats there Saturday Ride? |

Which trail is this? They didn't really have names back when I rode them or at least that we knew of. Is this the single track with lots of switchbacks that comes down towards the HS. If I end up going out to my parents on Sat. I might join you guys. Also how are you getting to the top the fireroad off pigeon pass or is there another way up now.
Would be interesting to see how the trail is not with full suspension instead of a full rigid 12 +years ago. |

yes you've got the right trail in mind. Planning on hiking. I've tried both hiking up and riding /hiking the fire road. Hiking up the trail is about 30-45 minutes faster.but I road up to the fire road from the HS so that could certainly add some time.

Yeah that fireroad is pain. I remember back when i rode and lived there we dreaded that climb.. At least a few times we got my sister to drive the truck up and drop us off. I never thought about hiking that trail. |

Regarding Team Dirty Work..... we typically always ride XC bikes up the fire-road when we ride the M trail....however post your ride on our message board and mention you want to shuttle/or hike up M trail you might get some interest from a few of our DownHillers. |

K well I have to appolagize and bail out on my own ride. A project deadline is looming and I'm not getting the support I need. If this was near my house I'd show up and make at least one run. Unfortunitly I live in OC and the GF lives in moval so I'll be staying home thus nowhere near the ride. Sorry fellas. Next time!!
