~Morning ~ Bump~

We're going to have a blast!!!

$10.00 all day lift tickets, sharing the trails with freinds, some grub, some drink, and a nice sandy swim beach to dip in after your ride!

Make your plans if you haven't yet!

Who's carpooling?

This is looking really tempting, time to try to find a single crown fork for the rmx or anyone think they will let me on the lift with an 888 since its such a big group ride.

Anyone up to carpool from Long Beach area or just about anywhere along the way? Being right by 605/405 I have a bunch of ways I can get to Big Bear. I may even stay at my parents in Moreno Valley if someone that way want to Carpool from that area.

I think I'm gonna make it to this little gathering. It's been years since I've ridden BB so what the heck. I'm trying to understand, are most folks camping Saturday night and leaving Sunday or camping Friday night and leaving post BBQ in the afternoon or evening Saturday?

I'm gonna try and get a room somewhere near by but keep it cheap. Dean recommended a place called Three Pines Lodge. Is that near home base and near the place of the BBQ/gathering?

Joe, I am going Friday-Sunday will ry to get in three days of riding and maybe a night ride. I have never stayed at Three Pines it comes up as one of the cheaper options up there. I am camping, without reservations not sure where yet.

I may decide to show up for this little shindig, but I'm not sure at this point. I'm going to wait and see how tired I am after this week, since I'm starting school on top of my job (8 hours in the morning till 3, 4 hrs of school until 10pm )

If I do show, I wouldn't mind driving in exchange for gas money (I'm in fullerton). I'll have room for probably 2-3 more people and bikes if people pack light.

I'll also be staying at my cabin in moonridge (literally 500ft from the bottom of lower fall line ), so i may have some spare beds/floorspace if people need it

The park that we'll be at does have a sandy beach and a playground (I know Maddie and I will be on the beach for more of our day than riding the trails - she said she'll do 1 maybe 2 runs at Summit)

ZOO
Discovery Center
Alpine Slide
Pirate Ship Ride

Here's a link to more idea's http://www.bigbear.com/summer.php

Is there gonna be time to barbecue at the park AFTER the lifts close? Or does the park close somewhat early?

I paid $60 to reserve the shelter and 4 bbq's for 6hrs starting at 9am to 3pm if I want the shelter for later than 3pm I have to pay for it (i don't remember how much per hr)

The idea was to take a break DURING the day and BBQ for lunch, take a cool dip in the lake etc....... I'm not sure what time the park closes I can and will call to find out.

Too late I already made the call...
The park closes at 11 pm (althought there are no lights) there are 6 to 8 unreservable bbq's (1st come 1st serve) for your evening BBQing needs. See you Sat
