Looks like it's been a while so I thought I'd help Tracy out and would give a friendly bump diddy bump

Also just confirmed our reservations in big bear!!!

We're heading up (wife/son) on Friday night and staying Saturday night as well to ensure some participation in off slope picnic carnage

If you are running a Fox 40 or something, that makes it even harder to sell. If you can run a single crown like a Totem or a Marz 66, there's a very likely chance you will get on the lift but I wouldn't make any guarantees.

If there is big group that shows up with DH bikes, the lift operators will probably freak and REALLY crack down on the rules. They will weigh EVERY bike, measure every tire, and check every fork. It's happened before.

Worse comes to worse, borrow a trail bike to use as a backup. It would suck to come all the way up there and not get to ride.

what a heart breaker. Summit used to be so fun.
My bike won't pass either.

I recently talked to a number of riders who rode Summit and told me they didn't care AT ALL what they were riding. Most of their bikes were 6"+ and 40 lbs+, and the operators didn't give them a second look.

I'm wondering if it's the kind of thing they put in writing to cover their bases, then turn a blind eye to realizing they won't get very many riders up there on downhill trails if they outlaw downhill bikes.

Listen girl you want me but he needs you
Yet you're tellin' me that everything is cool
Tryin' ti convince me baby to do as you say
Just go along and see things your way
Chorus:
And keep it on the down low- nobody has to know
We can keep it on the down low- nobody has to know
Secret lovers is what you wanna be
While making love to him, girl you're silently calling on me
What is a man to do in a situation like this?
I feel there is something that I don't wanna miss
Chorus (2x)
Beautiful you are but you're his by far
Comin' by my way drivin' his fancy car
Making plans to be in my life forever
Tell me, tell me that we'll always be together
Chorus (2x)
Listen babe I won't whisper a word

Exclamation Update

Neil just got off the phone with Snow Summit - It's official - the all day lift ticket usually $20.00 will be $10.00 for STR BBQ attendies!

This is great news! Thanks Neil for working your magic!

STR members who wish to recieve the $10.00 discount will need the *magic ticket*. Snow Summit will not be giving the discount to anyone who does not have the ticket, so please be sure and get your ticket at STR BBQ homebase Meadow Park before going to the Ticket booth and paying (if your tell them your with STR - it's NOT going to work you will need the ticket)

We will be at MEADOW PARK bright and early (look for the STR tents) to make sure everyone who wishes to take advantage of the discounted price can do so. The lifts start running at 9:00 am..

Another noteworthy item:

Our very own Ghixon will be posting details about a more *Newbie Freindly* ride on the trails for the day...Please if your a *newb* make the trip up, riding Summit is a ton of FUN whatever your skill level is.
