Mt. Wilson Trail Sierra Madre - Save the race!

Description:
We are getting ready to celebrate the 100 anniversary of the Mt Wilson Trail race. A wonderful running, hiking and MTB trail. Your help is still needed for post fire trail restoration! The trail was in great condition before hand and needs you help to bring it back. This a great chance for Mt Bikers, runners and hikers to work together. There is a lot of mcLeod and shovel work to do. We need to cover about a mile within the next week.

The trail is very dusty. The fire has charred the shrubs and underlying root systems. Hence, the roots have turned to ash and have collapsed leaving parts of the trail very soft.

Recommended:

It is dusty. Bring a painter's mask!
Bring glasses or other eye wear.
Wear long pants and a long sleeve shirt and hat to avoid dust.. A change of clothes is also recommended for your return home.

Mt Wilson Trail in Sierra Madre (Mira Monte and Mount Wilson Trail rd.)

When:

Saturday May 10th @ 8AM till noon (or when you can.)

Directions:
Off the 210 Freeway, exit Baldwin Ave North. Take Baldwin Ave North to Mira Monte. Turn right. Drive down to the intersection of Mt Wilson Trail and Mira Monte. Park along the street.
