Yep, I can leave anytime Friday. I live off the 15 right by the 10/15 interchange (N.Fontana).

Leaving about 6pm or abouts.
This will also work for me as I can take Fri. off. And it would be great to get in an extra day of riding. So we would leave the 16th and be heading home after the ride on the 20th? I'll tell my friend to make up his mind or I'll just sign on with you guys. I'll know by Monday.

I'll have my new 5 spot built by then.YeeHaw!

I'm getting my GPS unit on Tuesday, so looks like I'll be able to track all of our riding on the trip.

Glad to hear it! I know I'll be interested in seeing the google earth plots of the rides.

And speaking of acquiring crap for AZ, I got a pair of those "top tube" adapters for my hitch-rack so frame design is no longer an issue...should come in handy on future shuttle rides too.

and speaking of, if any of you guys leaving Wed/Thurs are able to, could you update the weekend crew (and STR) on how things are going? That would rock!

Of course I realize you may be too busy boozing it up with the AZ crowd to worry about us back in SoCal!

You got it, Lance. I'll even take the first sober-shift.

It'll be the longest 5 minutes of the week, but anything for you guys!

Default teasers

I thought I'd throw up a couple pics from a trip I did to Phoenix last year at this time. Since they had so much rain last year, the desert was in full bloom. It's been pretty dry this year, so we'll see what it's like. Sorry for the crappy quality. I have a new camera now so this years pic's should be an improvement.

Default Hawes

The pics are from the Hawes trail area. If it's raining this weekend in Prescott or Sedona might be a good place to check out.

For you guys leaving earlier don't forget that it's your job to work all the kinks out for the weekend crew!

So where are the bikes sleeping...in the beds I imagine?

Default Bikes

My thought on the bikes was to check in the hotel, then bring the bikes in the back door of the hotel to the rooms. I'm not leaving my bike outside at night and I really don't want to ask if it's ok to bring the bike in the room in case they say no. Can you say hucking off the coffee table! Maybe a little trials course in the room?

And - I just picked up a case of Stone IPA for the trip. I know you guys don't normally partake, but maybe just this one time.

Hucking off the coffee table is allowed only if Gonzo lays underneath it Yeah I was sort of wondering about the bike deal, but I sure as hell am not leaving my bike outside either I think getting in a 2am or whatever the first morning we should be ok for that night.

I'll make a special drinking exception and have a beer with you all this weekend....or maybe I'll bring some Jack Daniels instead

I've stayed in lots of motels, over 50 and they've never said a thing about me taking my bike into my room. Even when it was covered in mud.
