This is great! We're going to have a bigger group than I thought. The only down side is we're going to have to try to pack 4 people in each hotel room or I may not have enough points to take care of everyone. Let's try to finalize the dates everyone can go and who's carpooling with whom by sometime this weekend so I can get the reservations made on Monday.
In my truck leaving Wednesday night, besides myself I have Rob and possibly Steve. Steve let me know for sure what your plans are. I can take a total of 4 in my truck. I'll be coming home Sunday night from Prescott. Craig |

SWEET!
Now we just need to iron out the carpooling details... So I can fit 3 peeps with bikes/gear. Though we may need to get a few of those Yakima "tubetop" adaptor things just to make sure everyone's bikes fit ![]() Kipp, have you figured out which day you'll be able to leave? George, you in Xterra? Can you drive stick?[-o< |

I'm really liking how this is coming together. Dino - what's up with you?
Now we have a decision to make regarding Friday night's hotel stay. There is not a Marriott family hotel in Sedona. The closest is in Flagstaff about 25 miles away but it's a pretty slow 25 miles through a canyon. I'd estimate about an hour drive. My original thought was to stay in Phoenix Friday night (There's a party scheduled for Friday night ) and then drive to Sedona Saturday morning early. It's around a 2 hour drive if I remember correctly. For those leaving So Cal Friday - I'd estimate your drive to be 5 hours to Phoenix, 7 hours to Flagstaff without major traffic (yeah right).I don't want to influence anyone's decision about where to stay. If anyone wants to stay in Flagstaff, that's fine and I can still take care of a hotel room. If anyone wants to find their own place in Sedona that's another option. For Saturday night, there's a Marriott in Prescott and I thought we could just drive there after Saturday's ride in Sedona. Again, If anyone wants to do something else, let me know. Why don't we discuss what we want to do. Rob and Steve we have an additional option Wednesday night. I'll pm you. Craig |

but my friend who is saying he wants to go won't firm it up, so I'm kind of up in the air at the moment. I was going to leave Friday morning and come back Sunday night. Anybody else doing those days that needs another person to split cost let me know.

Hmmm, well I'm down with Saturday night in Prescott. But Friday I'm still trying to figure out.
George (and DINO)- what do you guys think? I feel like our two main options are: 1) Drive to Phoenix on Friday night and hoof it up to Sedona as a group with everyone on Sat morning. 2) Drive to Flagstaff on Friday night. I'm leaning towards #1 since I'd rather wake up early with a big group than drive super late-night kinda solo. And as Craig said, traffic will probably suck and add time to our drive estimates. George and I are waiting to hear back from someone. If he says he's out then there would be space for you. We're planning on leaving Friday late-afternoon and returning Sunday after the Prescott ride.
