Exclamation Attention grasshoppers....

For a tail gate party, we are going to need some tunes... vintage music if you please .... I know there are some DJs out there. PM me and we'll try and arrange to have the proper musical atmosphere for the event.

I would totally attend this event if I still owned that Schwinn that got away for only $20 bones at our family garage sale in the early 80s

I've never ridden the Fullteron Loop. Don't know anything about distance, location, elevation... All I've heard is it's a popular route that is enjoyed by all levels of riders.

So, is this a multiple lap excursion? What's the distance per lap?

TIA- Upchuck

It's about 10-11 miles with several relatively short, some of them a little steep, but the surface is not technical.. There are some singletrack sections, some extra credit features that have some 'techy' aspects to them just for fun and mostly wider trails. It's a fun, unique trail system and a great ride to do with a group.

I don't have any REAL vintage bikes, but I do have a Huffy that I got hit by a car on! It's from when I was a little boy (not that long ago) maybe a few years?

OMR, I know quite a few DJ's. One in particluar would perfect for this type of music, he's literally got a garage full of old records and has been a DJ longer than I've known him. Don't know much he will charge, but I dare anyone to know more about old music/records than this guy.

I'm looking for someone who will do this for the love of STR .... have you ever know mountain bikers to spend money on anything not related to bikes or beer? A portable record or CD changer on the back bed of a truck would probably work....

We'll work something out.

Alrighty. A CD player would be better in everyway- less weight for sure. A crate of records alone isn't exactly light... haha

But records would apply more to the theme.

I don't own fuschia lycra shorts anymore...they went out with the TLD jerseys I had from the days I used to work for Troy! Too much schwag from days gone by, had to make room for the new stuff!!

Its disturbing that you haven't gotten rid of those old pink shorts....I'm calling Nancy!!!

Might have my dad's old 10-spd Huffy Scout to resurrect and ride. That beast is almost 10 years older than me!

I'm pretty stoked for this ride. Thanks OMR!

I've got something in the works. If I can get it together I think it'll be pretty kewl. Can't wait man.

Though I may have to draw the line at vintage rubber. I ain't gonna roll on some 15-20year old tires.

Just acquired another '91 Fat City frame. If I can get the build finished in time, this will be the one to hit the Fully Loop.

Gregg,
yes I do remember Jay, Jeff, Bill and Sue as well...and I will pass this link on to Billy.
and yes that is me in the photo with no helmet...what a dumb a** I was...but that was a 24" CW cruiser I was riding and it's closer to the ground and a single speed no less I was so....ahead of my time

I'm not sure if I will be able to make it out for this one...but I sure hope I can.

here's a shot of me on the XCR with my old Beat jersey stretched to the max

Cheers everyone
