Yes. Yes it is. I'd rather have a Micky's "green hand grenade" than Anchor Steam.

Back in the day, we always drank Henry Weinhards when we went to Gus Grissom Park. Of course, we were not riding bikes........

I can't wait, even if it is Mickeys.

It's not bad, but it's not that good either. I drink Anchor Steam on occasion when it's the best thing I can find.

Sure, not every beer can be a sour beer...only the good ones.

2 beer questions...

1) What's the general consensus on Moosehead? I remember my dad drinking this when I was little.

2) Can anyone remember what brand the "generic" beer was in the early 80's that was a white can with a light blue stripe on it, that simply said "Beer"? Or which store brand it was (Lady Lee or something?) It was in some supermarket's generic line I think, I remember always seeing it when I was a kid shopping with my folks.

no, there used to just be "beer". it was a off-white can, black letters that just said "beer" and had light blue bands above and below the letters.

you could get most products with a generic version.

hmm- google images doesnt help.

I remember seeing the old generic 'BEER', but have no idea where it came from or what it was. PBR on the other hand - there's no mistaking that.

Yeah that's what I was talking about.

They had a whole line of generic stuff besides beer. I was never cool to have a Trapper Keeper binder, I just had those spiral notebooks that said "Notebook" that were white with the light blue lettering.

Though, my Pop still managed to drink Budweiser, he never drink the generic labeled beer.

I think it tastes more like the other end of the moose, but naming it Moose Ass doesn't sell as much beer.

"Lady Lee" was the Lucky supermarket house brand. Whether or not that was the beer you refer to, I don't know .................

As a kid, I remember White Mart or Yellow Mart carrying the generic beer. White can with "BEER" in blue lettering and a UPC code. I think it was either 69 cents or 99 cents for a 6-pack.
