Just an update for ya'll.....

All of the trail behind the post office is completely free of downed trees(IIRC).

The trail from 1N07 to Southfork is in great shape with maybe 3 downed trees.....no more than that.

The main problem area as of this morning is 1N07 south of the rivertrail intersection. That section was an absolute joke(you guys won't be riding that section so no worries for you).

Weather was great up there today as well. Should be a good ride on sunday.

Rode it last week. Best ride in a long time. I really felt the altitude on the climbs, man, that kicked my ass. The trail ended at 27 miles with a nice down hill fire road to the truck. Anymore climbs I would been survivor man for the night.

I might be able to make this ride...it just depends on my son, if he gets to stay at his friends house, I'm in. I miss SART, hopefully this will be the first of many this year.

any tire really, but a fast rolling knobbie would be ideal.. there is not much in the way of rocks or technical features except for maybe one or two spots...

From the Geoladders directions it looks like it is pretty easy to spot the trailhead. For the guys looking to carpool. I'm leaving Orange and can take one. kclark@halfdimension.com

I see how they are. Arrive early and get acclimated to the elevation so they smoke the rest of us (well, except Klutter)
