Carpooling or caravaning out there would be a good idea.

We can meet somewhere central, maybe along the 57 in Fully or Yorba Linda. I know we have riders from HB, LB, and Westminster(me) going to SART.

I have to see if I can fit two bikes in back of my truck with my big wheels. I have a shell on the back so I'll let you know if I can bring another person.

I think I'm in for this one. I'll be leaving from Orange and I have an adventure pass. I can take one other person in my VW.

Ok I'm in. Is the trailhead easy to spot? Just follow the geoladders directions?

ok sounds good. Let me know cuz I have to make a choice between partying in San Diego for a couple days or doing SART. It seems like a waste to drive up there by myself. Mountain bikers are supposed to conserve the enviornment right? Anyways.... pretty excited for this ride

Just remember not to get too drunk on Sat night and be on time or you will suffer.

There will be a few cerveza's for the lunch break plus the obligatory tequila shot at the top of a few of the climbs!

It might not be a bad idea since cell service is pretty sporadic up there..let me see if I can find my motorola's.
We will stay together for the ride- I've only lost one rider in 5 SART trips!- so if anything I'll need some leaders/sweepers both up and down the trail, cannot wait!

I was looking at the linked geoladders route, is this a shuttle or an out and back?

I know i've heard talk of 2 rides, Neil(1x1clyde) taking a group up & down and Dave (26zenmaster) starting at the campground and taking a group down.

Down is the shuttle but you still have to climb, just not as much as going up & down.

Call Adrenaline to find out what exactly the plans are, ask for Neil - he'll give you the lowdown.

no shuttle, only climb climb climb all on loose gravel singletrack off camber with tons of exposure and mountain lions stalking our every move
2 groups, most likely.
Both groups will do the extra credit loop, then the post office singletrack.
Once we get to the 1st fireroad we do a shot of tequila, then one group will continue on their way up via tasty singletrack with multiple stream crossings.
The other group will go up the fire road, hit the post office loop again? maybe? then back up the fire road to the cars and head up to southfork to meet the others.
There we will regroup, eat lunch, drink beer, shots of tequila and then we all head back down together!
Plan on 4 hours? with plenty of regroups!!!
