Tapia Canyon this Saturday Morning

I'l be doing a 2 lapper this Saturday morning at Tapia Canyon. Now is the time to ride up this way before the summer temps get too high.

We'll ride to the top of the fire road climb and descend the Tapia Singletrack and then climb back up to descend Burn Victim. Total mileage around 15 or 16 miles. Maybe around 1400 feet of climbing with a gentle warm up before the trail gets steeper at the end of the climb. Not a lot of climbing, but I can make it more difficult for you if necessary . The descent is one of those trails that can be negotiated by novices, but still leaves more experienced riders smilng.

All riders welcome. No rider gets left behind.

We'll meet at the Castaic Sports Complex at 8:00am. Ride at 8:15am.

I-5 north to Castaic. Exit at Parker Road. Turn right at the end of the offramp and right again at the first stop sign (Castaic Road). Go about 1/3 mile back along the east side of the freeway to the Castaic Sports Complex. We'll meet in the first parking lot by the Gym. I'll be in a red Scion tC coupe.

We may hit up one of the local establishments for post ride grub if the group is up for it.
