New Millennium Trail Maintenance

I know it's late notice mid-week, but I didn't realize it hadn't been posted on STR yet, so just in case any of you are able to pitch in....

New Millennium trail is a recently completed trail out in the Calabasas area. It's been under construction for a couple of years and it officially opened a few months ago. But the parts they started on two years ago are already overgrown and tight, and in need of attention.

We will be removing some landslides from the trail and doing some much needed brush work. El Pres went out there to the New Millennium Trail on Monday to check it out. It is so thick it is a struggle to get through! Please come out and help us! To see some photos of how the trail is looking check out

Location: Calabasas
Meeting Time: 4:00 pm
Directions: We will meet at the Bark Park. It is a dog park as the name implies. It is located on Las Virgenes road about 3/4 miles south of the 101 the freeway on the east side of the road. Directly behind the park is the Bark Park trail. That trail goes up 1.2 miles then runs into the New Millennium trail. Take the New Millennium to the right for about .2 of a mile and that is where the maintenance will start. If you are coming let us know. El Presidente (Hans) will probably be driving his work truck and will need to load the tools early thursday morning so he can go there straight from work.

I'll be taking the metro with my bike out to warner center on the orange line and riding from there.
