Another great ride guys, Joplin surely didn't dissapoint! One of the most technical trails around, a must do again. The wind was brutal on the climb, but we still made very good time up Harding. Time to get some knee warmers, my knees are still aching.

Another goood ride today. A tad bit cold and windy of Harding but worth it with Joplin and Luge.
How did the other ride go with the non-shuttlers?? Time for some sleep.... two long rides this weekend ![]()

Thanx to FXRob for suggesting/mentioning this awesome ride!!
This ride was full of surprises & different expectations for me since it was my first time on any of these connecting trails. I thought Harding was going to be a lot more brutal and i was totally surprised at how technical Joplin was. Joplin should be renamed "Mr. Toad's Wild Ride" it's definitely a wild ride!! STT was very fast and loads of fun, as well as the Luge. too bad the Luge is so short. Outlaw, Klutter , Tom C , Tom # 2 and myself did the loop which added 3.9 miles riding from Cook's Corner, not bad of a road ride. it served as a nice warm up and allowed me to get familiar with the other entrance to do a shorter loop later on. Seems like you, Shuttlers, had a great time just like us, which is great! we'll see you guys out there on another ride! BTW, anyone have any comments on the food at Cook's Corner? we ended up going somewhere else to eat.

Glad you guys had fun Armondo! The climb up Harding wouldn't have been so bad if it wasn't as brutally cold/windy as it was yesterday. Compared to Maple Springs I would definately say Harding is more difficult. Joplin was definately a challenge and a few of us left our blood out there to prove it. Those rock gardens were intense, but tons of fun.
The food at Cook's is great, definately recommend you eat there next time. We all look forward to eating there after a ride in that area. The biker chix are fun to watch also ![]() |

Here are a few pics I snapped yesterday. I didn't get any of Joplin/STT/Luge since we were having too much fun going downhill.

It's two miles and about 800 feet of climbing from the saddle to the Peak. I've done that loop you guys did a few times. Always a challenge on Joplin Trail.
