Tijeras Creek Beginner's Ride

Nice easy pace.

Be prepared for a couple of creek crossings, maybe some snake sightings, poison oak down in the jungle and good times on a pretty fun trail. No one gets left behind.

I thought you have to play catch up all the time.
Start out in front, stop and take pictures of everyone going by. Catch up to the main group and take off as soon as they're done resting (usually when you get there because you're bring up the rear at that point).
Repeat.

That's the trailhead. It's a side street above O'Neill outside the neighborhood. Plenty of parking, no hassles.

We'll be at the northernmost back entrance to O'Neill.

Look for a black Nissan Titan and a bunch of MTBers milling about, checking out each others bikes, making last minute adjustments and generally goofing off while waiting for the group to assemble.

As a newb here I've wanted to find a ride to join on...this would be perfect except I have a kids soccer game late that AM. I may join for the jaunt down the canyon and then split off to Wagon Wheel to make the game...I wonder if I could pull that off!

i'm pretty stoked about this ride for some reason...maybe because i get to ride oneill or a portion of it; new dirt is exciting
