Friends of PET 3rd Annual Bike-A-Thon

You're invited to the 3rd Annual Bike-A-Thon presented by the Friends of the Pacific Electric Trail on Saturday, May 10th - a great way to complete Bike-to-Work week and show your support for bicycles as transportation.

The new Pacific Electric Trail (http://www.pacificelectrictrail.org/) forms an important transportation link for cyclists in the Inland Empire. When complete it will connect Rialto, Fontana, Rancho Cucamonga, Upland, and Claremont with over 20 miles of seperated bikeway.

For the first time ever, our event will ride on the actual trail (your efforts have paid off - sections of the trail are complete and open!) and this year we're offering two routes - a challenging, 25 mile tour of Rancho Cucamonga, and a 5 mile, family and novice route that stays on the trail.

Registration is $25 for adults ($30 on day of event) and just $5 for children accompanied by a parent. Each entry includes:

• Event Tee shirt
• Goodie bag packed with stuff you actually want!
• Raffle ticket for our post-event raffle. Past years prizes have included complete Trek bikes, iPods, and more

Event starts and finishes at Central Park (Base Line and Milliken) in Rancho Cucamonga.

This event is a fundraiser for the Friends of the Pacific Electric Trail, a 501c(3) non-profit. All proceeds directly benefit the trail and will be used for enhancements such as maps, water fountains, picnic benches, and so on.

This is a great, family-friendly event that is ideal for experienced cyclists and novices alike.
