Oh yeah, they're racing at 9 AM Saturday instead of 2 PM. There may be some issues with trail availability.

Thanks Zippy for the heads up. I wasn't aware that Racers and Chasers had changed to a 9AM start time. Unfortunately, they don't post the course online. I know that Robert stays away from The Damn Hill, so we may be alright.

If Sunday works for people, I can change the date to Sunday so that there is not a conflict with the racers.

Also, Does anyone know what the xterra race course is? I checked the website, they just say it is 15K, nothing about the actually course.

Also, No one will be left behind. I am bringing my son, who is 12. This will be his first time riding my old bike. He walks some of the hill climbs, but keeps going and going. He did about 25 miles in Laguna Mountains about 3 weeks ago and wasn't done yet.

Xterra course: Yup. raced it the past 3 years in a row.

Racers and Chasers: Raced it a few weeks ago, Rob stays over by Tunnel of Love, which is part of the Xterra course. I doubt we'll have many problems unless the race turn out suddenly jumps to epic proportions.

I'll be there. Anyone from SD going up? I'd be more than happy to drive.

Got directions for me?

Here's how I get there from La Jolla:
56 East
15 North
Exit Hwy 79 and go East (though the signs say South) watch to make sure you take the correct exit since there may be a separate exit for Hwy 79 North.
Stay on Hwy 79 until you see the sign on the right for Vail Lake RV resort, turn LEFT into the RV resort.
Follow the pavement past the main offices.
When you get to the stop sign, turn LEFT, do not go straight onto "Chardonnay Mesa", but LEFT towards "The Oaks" camping area.
Pass the mini golf and go up the hill past the waterslide.
Veer LEFT and you should see us.
Here's a map of the campgrounds.
http://www.vaillakeresort.com/index....2_Campsite-Map
We'll be in "Lower Merlot" near campsite 234

No problem, I don't leave anyone behind.

Besides the wind, it was a nice day for a ride.
