I plan on a loop through Santiago Oaks first. Up the 3 B's, down Chutes and out Irvine Park. This will be a fast to moderate pace. If anyone wants to join, leaving from the same parking lot no later then 4:30pm. Meeting up for the 5:30 at Peter's directly after.

have to take a pass, how do you guys get out so early. Even with leaving work a few hours earlier than normal I am basically in a mad dash just to get there for 530pm.

I'm fortunate enough to get off work at 4:00... and live 4.5 miles from work... and have Peter's and Oaks another 3 miles from there.

Hey Jeremy I think I'm riding Oaks tomorrow. I'm down for a 4:30 ride.

Sounds good. Meet me at the Farmers Market parking lot (south west corner of Chapman and Newport)... I'll try and park near the water tower. I should be there about 4:15pm. Look for my truck, Blue Silverado shortbed!

I have to go to Cerritos (right off the 605 & Del Amo) @ 3 to watch my daughters school softball game. I want to go ride afterwards but I'm not sure what's near there. How far is Peters Canyon from said location and is it worth the drive there? If not, any other suggestion in the general area? I don't want to sit in traffic for an hour and lose precious light. I should be done and on the road by 4:45 or so from Cerritos. Thanks!

Peter's is a bit of a drive from Cerritos, about 25 miles. I don't think it would be worth the drive. I would suggest Turnbull Canyon or Fullerton Loop. Closer to you.

Joe,

You should hit Turnbull on your way home, it's not worth driving out to Orange for Peter's Canyon, especially in that traffic. It'll probably take you close to 45-50 mins to get there from Cerritos at that time.

Turnbull is probably 30 mins away. Just take the 605 N. to Beverly Blvd and head east till the houses end. Maybe Dino will show you around? Drop him a PM. Much more challenging.

I'll be there but can I meet you at the park? Parking lot maybe - I'll be waiting for you. Of course that doesn't mean I won't be having tacos afterwards.

But it does mean that you are buying the tacos for all, right???.

Based on what time i get out of work I may do the same and join up at peters

SheDevil,
I am going to make the trek from I.E. to join you all. Do I need Lights for this little ride, cause I ain't gots none? Hopefully not. I have been wanting to hit up some of OC's beautiful routes. What can I expect for parking? Will I need to pay or is it grab a curb where you can type action?

COT:

No lights needed. Parking is free....It's a shopping center parking lot. I'm glad you're joining , but don't sit in traffic for us....it's a short little social lap that can be done on the weekends too!

PS: If Kev is going and does an Oaks lap it will be a better challenge if you're a strong rider. I'm not sure his schedule...

I think I can work in the Shorter loop with you all. I am riding in the morning and doind partial commute rides (8 of 24 miles) today and on Wednesday. I plan on heading down that way earlier in the day to do some studying. Is there any good coffee shops near by that I could park my tookas at for a while?

If you get off at Chapman from the 55....go WEST from the freeway and you'll hit the Orange Traffic Circle. Lots of little shops in there to sit at...and a Starsucks if you must. When you're ready to come ride with us...just go east up the hill (like the map directs). It's a straight shot...and the circle at least has options.
