Default BrewMaster's Birthday Ride & Beer Tasting

OK friends, we are going to celebrate my birthday with some of my favorite things in the world; friends, mountain biking, beer, and food. Dig that.

RIDE CANCELED DUE TO WEATHER

The birthday party/beer tasting is still going!

Beer Tasting Details: 12:30 at our house!
We will have food, beer, soda, water, etc and will have a fun time in our backyard. I will be opening up some of the great beer stashed away in the beer cellar. After all, great beer is best enjoyed with great people. Beer tasting will be just that, tastes of quality beer, not getting faded. Some of these beers are no longer in production and may blow your mind when you taste them. You've been warned...

What to bring:

1) A great attitude.
2) A change of clothes and deodorant, for the love of God.
3) If you want, bring beer to share. Tim (jasonmason), Kevin (xhuskr), or John (KeepsWhatHappens) can provide recommendations on what constitutes great beer. Bud, Miller, and Coors are not allowed in my house. Don't test me Jesse.
4) If you've got a BOB trailer and would like bring it, please do. I will make sure it is filled with tasty beverages. If you have one but can't make it, please let me know if I can borrow the BOB. I will put Chewyeti's fat ass to work hauling it up the hill.
5) Lawn chairs or folding chairs. We have a few, but not enough for everyone.

NO GIFTS! Your presence is the best gift you can give.

For those who do not know, here is the proper way to approach your beer:

Of course you can. We'll probably be there around noon.

Maybe I should make this a "Birthday ride and concrete repair party." Kill 2 birds with 1 stone.

My plan is to fix it beginning of May. We'll see...

Linda is taken. As far as I'm concerned, you can hit on anyone else, including Nam.

Absolutely. We will probably have sandwich stuff out for everyone to make their own, plus sides and such. If you wanna bring more, it is much appreciated and will not go to waste!

(John is still required to bring beer.)

In that case, consider yourself uninvited.

So what do Tim, Kevin, and John recommend for an elderly gent of nearly thirty years? Does Metamucil go down better with an ale or a lager?

I'm intrigued by this *beer* of which you speak so fondly.

Sam, you've mentioned that it's a great post-ride refreshment. So it's like CytoMax, then?

This ride reminds me of my first STR ride out @ the Fully Loop last August. Both Sam & Andy demanded (*offered* doesn't quite capture it) that I drink their beer. Damn that peer pressure; you'd think that at 30 years old I'd be immune!

Thumbs up Grasshopper Sam....

Way to step up! This will be a fun day ... I have a bottle of Blur pale ale that Grasshopper Glen gave me for such an occasion. Gene will be all healed up by that time and perhaps Dino and SAR_Boats will make an appearance as well.

BTW Rob, we will have to open up that Angel's Share at this tasting. It's too good to let it sit on the sidelines.
