If someone has a BOB trailer to bring, then all of the above. If not, then just after the ride. I wish they made saddle bags big enough for a six pack and ice.

Hmmm...that's a tough one. There is so much good beer out there it is hard to choose. I would say bring Anderson Valley Summer Solstice if you can find it. Usually they have it at BevMo. My wife loves that beer and you know what they say, if momma's happy, everyone's happy.

I have really been on a kick for sour beers, porters, smoked beers, bocks, weizenbocks, eisbocks, dunkels and other such oddities. I guess anything but pale ales and IPAs for me lately. Not sure why, it's just happened that way.

If you see something you've never had before and it is not made by some macro brewery, chances are it will be a hit with this crowd. Anything from Alesmith, Alaskan, Deschutes, Lagunitas, Russian River, or Bear Republic is always a safe bet with me.

SO, it's sad that I've been here 9 months but haven't found it yet, where do you get the good beers on the Westside? Back in Richmond I had a couple of small stores that had a heck of a good beer selection (where you'd least expect it). Where do I get the stuff around here??? Whole Foods has some ... anyone know a good spot?

I wore my Oakley pack and carried a 12 pack with ice on the Chrismas Tree ride up West Horse Thief and again on the St Paddy's day ride up the 3 B's. Just need to get a better way to keep the ice from melting so the ice doesn't get me soaking wet.

I KNEW I should have stopped by Hollingshead last nite! I'll try and get by before Sat to pick up some Weizenbocks...mmmm...bock....! Or I'll still try and get my bottling equipment setup for my Belgian...either way I'll bring something!

Hmm...I just ordered one of these off steep and cheap. If it is here by Friday, I may have to put it to good use.

I think putting all the ice and beer in a plastic garbage bag could prevent most of the soaking.

Beverage Warehouse (Marina Del Rey) - probably the closest to you.
Hi Times (Costa Mesa)
Red Carpet Wine (Glendale)
Vin De Pays (Long Beach)
Vendome (Toluca Lake and Fullerton)
Galco's (near Downtown)
Valley Bev (Sherman Oaks)
BevMo (many locations)

I am hoping the Trojan part of your name has to do with your favorite brand of condom...

My wife and I went to UCLA, so we are wary of all things Trojan, unless of course you are bringing thousands of dollars in under the table payments, a USC specialty.

Just this once I'll ignore the fact that you two are Bruins! Most of my cousins are UCLA alum, so I always get a lot of grief!

FYI: Another good Fullerton shop is Town & Country Liquor, just off the corner of Raymond & Commonwealth, behind the gas station. Lots of Belgians and craft brew. Even Dogfish Head.
