Default GMR aka Monroe Truck Trail 8am 4/5

Meet right past big dalton at dirt turn out so no adventure pass is required. Be ready to ride at 8. 7 mile or so climb...7 mile or so decent. Regroups as needed. 3 hours at a social pace with regroups last time I did it.

Silver Ford F150 Race Dez license plate.

All dirt except for the 7/8 of a mile to and fro the trail head...depending on how we feel on the way down we can come down the last 3 miles a different way for some shenanigans.

No go if its raining...

Haven't been in maybe 1 1/2 months. How's it looking now? Last time I went there was a rut down the center, overgrowth was bad on some parts, and there was a good amount of water still in the creek on lower MTT.

I rode about a month ago...nice and technical with a lot of water/rocks/ledges in the first mile and im hoping its as good as it was or worse so long as its rideable. Once out of the creek its single/double track the rest of the way to the top with some fireroad still left.

The trail's in great condition. There is a lot of overgrowth in areas. The bottom section has been cut back a bit, so the stuff isn't hitting you in the face so much. The ruts up top are still there. Although it looks like someone has started to put in some work on the tread to get the water off the trail. Wish I could be there. I've got Sat. morning kid duties.

Looks like the meeting place is at the big dirt turn out right after Big Dalton Rd and the trail head is further up GMR right as the road makes a big left turn. The trail head is at the gate on the right.
I may join depending on family duties.

Myself and probably Mrtawney will be there. Since I have an adventure pass we'll be parking at the trailhead. We'll be by the Tundra that has the Socaltrailriders sticker on the back window.

If you're gonna park @ the trailhead, I will too. But I think the others are thinking of coming down Mystic on the return trip, so we'll have to climb the road anyway.

Haven't ever rode down Mystic. Any type of armor recommended, etc.

I have been riding down from the top with shin (more appropriately brush) guards. Keeps me from getting too scratched up.

Good advice, though tights or long pants probably work just as well.

TK is in good shape the only thing is the PO is still bad in the creek and at the bottom where the trail starts. Have fun. I never heard of anyone calling the technical Dh sections "mystic" and I have been climbing/bombing TK for years and years. You learn something everyday.

Have fun!

I guess I'm missing something. What is TK and what is PO?
