Thinking about riding San Juan on Saturday morning for a 7:30am ride but I heard that Ortega hwy is closed at for construction until 8:30 in the morning. Coming from North OC, can you still get to San Juan for an early ride or do you have to wait til its open before you can ride?

or no, you can't get through to the trailhead at all. Sorry, this will be my first time out to San Juan and I'm not quite understanding your reply. Thanks.

you can get to the trailhead at 4:31 am with the construction.
i think from the oc side the construction doesn't quite get down to the fire station so it should be accessible 24/7....lucky bastards!
