Anyone interested in doing "O'Neill - Hal's Place ride"? Will try to start ride at 8:30am.

Everything you need to know is at http://www.geoladders.com/show_route.php?route=2005 Just click on Trailhead "Find" button under Directions for the starting point (where to park).

The 241 is a toll road so bring "Fast Track" or cash.

I already have my coffee brewing and almost out the door. It is a very fun ride because it has a little bit of everything. I will try to set this up again in a couple weeks.

Never, anyways it looks like nice ride to try.

Camped at o'neil once in high school and got lost 4x'ing my buddy's truck (drunk) back in Holy Jim but thats about it for me and that canyon.

Just did the ride this afternoon. The entire trail is in fairly good shape. I liked this ride. Couple notes.
1) on the climb out of Trabuco canyon to Hal's place there are a couple step loose rocky sections, ridable just be ontop of your game.
2)After leaving Hal's place at the bottom of the dirt road, there is a large dip, you'll carry allot of speed into this, so pay attention or slow down.
3) Top section of vista is like a powdered donut becareful.
4) Watch for people coming down on the last single track climb.
5) The Oniel gate at at Via con Dios is closing around 7:10 to 7:30pm per the guy in the brown Ford with the lock and key.

Yes, 2 weeks ago, lots of fun. I may go again this Saturday.
