Depends on how my Xterra season goes and if I'm racing Rim Nordic or not.

Ride a lot and enjoy it.

I'm probably going to camp out Friday and Saturday nights. I'll probably head out mid-day on Friday for a pre-ride.

Throw up a thread asking. I know there are several endurance riders on here. MP3 races 24-hour stuff and Lukewiens is just getting into it.

I'd say ride long and often, add some harder efforts (hill repeats, XC races) as the event draws near and then cut volume in half 10 days before the event.

Just to give everyone an idea on how this race can be different that the others 2 in the series.

Last year was hot hot hot hot hot, can I say HOT....107 in the shade! It was HOT.

Tons of people ran very slow laps, and cramped more than usual. It was HOT!

That's my plan too. And bring lots of coolers with lots and lots of ice.

107º!? Jeez, I may have to break out the Lycra for this race. Sorry in advance guys and gals.

Lets do this camping thing right and get sites next to each other this time

Just like January we'll pit up front (no need for heaters though). It seemed to work out real well. Tons of support for everyone

I'm all for that Traci. As soon as you want to reserve a campsite # let me know and I'll grab one next to you guys. I'm gonna be taking Friday off before and getting there Friday sometime during the day to pre-ride too.

I have at least 2 other friends coming too, so I can already see 2 or 3 campsites full in a row.

I'm not trying to sound like a hard guy, but I was expecting the heat last year to be worse. Maybe that is why I didn't find it too bad. And, I'm someone who doesn't care for the heat all that much.

I think it was worse in the campground. Out on the course and up on the ridgelines, it seemed like there was a bit of ocean breeze blowing, especially up the Damn climb.

Any help on the Dam Climb will be more than welcome! Especially as the day wears on.

They reconfigure the course for every event - but here's the route from #1 in January.
