Chilao Flats

Caballeros y Damas, hola. Hey, I'll be hitting Chilao Flats this weekend. If anyone wants to join, cmon up. If you dont know where its at, we can meet on the side of the road once you get off the 210 frwy on Angeles Crest Hwy. Go north and look for the fat dude wearing a blue EPIC riders jersey, about one or two miles from the off ramp. I'll be there until 8-8:30 am. after that I'm gone, ok? If you go on yer own, please remember if you pass the Newcombs ranch resaturant, you went too far. And if no one needs help from me getting there, then cool, cos I kinda want to see if the Manzanita Loop camp ground is open yet and spend Friday night there.

Chilao campground reopens from the winter closing on April 1st!



Drive the I-210 Fwy. to Angeles Crest Hwy. (CA-2) in La Canada. Go north on CA-2 about 40 miles to Chilao Flats CG Road. If you get to Newcomb's Ranch, you've gone too far.

Hey Toby, sorry I hadn't gotten back to you on your PM. The meeting time is 8:00am at the bottom of HWY 2 - After you exit the 210 turn right on HWY 2 and we'll be on the side of the street less than a mile up.

I've only done the bottom of the figure 8 loop twice but always following someone else. We should be good with the map.
