I'm up for a ride, but something closer. San Gabriels or Santa Anas.

I'd be up for something in the Santa Ana's... Perhaps a Maple Springs to Peaks or Motorway.

That's gonna have to be up to Bret since he's got the truck......but I'd say after his B-day party tonight the chances will be slim.

My legs are shot, I did another 13 miler El Moro/LCWP ride this morning so I'm not going to feel like doing much climbing tomorrow at all.

Man, it sounds like I missed a bunch of good rides this week!

I was able to stretch the legs and take my bro out to Aliso, but I'm looking forward to getting back out to the Santa Ana's.

Anyone else (besides the JamR) doing the Irvine Ride on 03 Dec?

Us Matts squared hit up San Juan today. We were hauling up to Cocktail Rock with no stops and under 1 hour and a half. Lots of guys/girls climbing today. A group of 3 guys and a girl climbing behind us had a little scare. I'm climbing along and hear a guy scream somebodys name (sounding like carla or claudia). She must of slipped down one of the washouts where it gets narrow. I could see the group down below brushing her off and nourishing her. Kinda freaky but they kept going.

Up at Cocktail rock we met some guys who told us to try the loop at the top. So the two of us and two other guys joined us. We went down the new San Juan trail and looped it back with the old. It added another 5 or 6 miles. This was was bitchin singletrack... it went from rocky technical to crusin' under the forest to nice meadows. Once back at Cocktail we headed down the rest of San Juan. Super fun and a little slippery but I survived. Ocrider matt had little fall that unfortunatley I did not get to witness Anyways fun ride I should do this more knowing that I live soooo close(takes only 20min from my house \/ )
And yes the guys we met, we did our job of advertising by giving them the web address.

Yeah I'm going to do this ride. Just need to figure out how to register. I might call in like you mentioned.

Sweet ride today. The views were awsome. It was a little cold in the shade and when the wind came threw but just about perfect riding weather. Ya we should definently do this ride more often. Next time we should explore some more of those sweet singletracks like chiqueta. Dude Matt the person who fell was Carl that guy we rode down with and rode the extra loop with. A few miles down I was going too fast and I lost it in a rut. But it was'nt a bad crash. It was blast crusing down the trail.
