Default Pivot Bikes & The Path Demo Days

Hey all! Check this out, The Path and Pivot Bikes are hosting a demo days at the Oaks regional Park (Windes entrance). Several of the Path guys demo'd Pivot bikes at Ibike this past year and were very impressed. Heck how can you go wrong with 4 and 5 inch travel DW-link bikes from Cocalis and Weagle?

For immediate release:

Tustin, California - Pivot Bikes and The Path Bike Shop have teamed up for a Pivot / BH Bike Demo Day on March 29th at the Santiago Oaks Regional Park in Orange County, California. Join Pivot and The Path Bike Shop for a day of testing Pivot and BH bikes at one of the premier biking locations in Southern California.

Pivot Bikes was founded by Chris Cocalis (Formerly of Titus Bikes) who teamed up with Dave Weagle to incorporate the DW-Link suspension into a 4-inch travel cross country racer and a 5-inch travel trail bike. The Path Bike Shop is the only SoCal dealer for Pivot Bikes and also carries the BH road bike line.

Santiago Oaks Regional Park is located at:
2145 N. Windes Drive

Default RR: Pivot Demo Days (URGENT!)

Hey all! The Pivot Demo Day is in full effect today. I just got back from the Santiago Oaks. The Pivot Demo trailer is out with both the Mach 4 and Mach 5 bikes in all sizes. They also brought a fleet of BH road bikes, including a 875 gram carbon bling bling road bike! Complete bike weighed in at 15 and change. Here's some pics of the action. As you can tell, both Karl and Tani are cruising the Pivots on the rear wheels.

Both the Mach 4 and 5's have had some modifications from Ibike 07. The Mach 4 has been built up at approx. 22+change and the Mach 5 at around 25+/-.

We did some frame weigh-ins at the shop and found that the Mach 5 with the bottom bracket, headset, front derailleur, and seatpost clamp weighed in at approx 7.25 lbs. With an XTR BB weighing about 0.25 lbs, a front derailleur weighing about 0.25 lbs, and a seat clamp weighing about 50 grams, this tranlates to about a 6.5-lb 5-inch DW link frame. This thing is going kick some serious tail on the trails.

Hurry on down to the main entrance at the Oaks off Windes drive and test ride one today. They'll be there until about 3:30 or 4:00 today.

Mach 5 with a Pike. I'm sold. Now I gotta convince myself where this bike fits in my stable. I got my Giant Anthem and a Giant Reign(6.75' travel).
