Default GPS, Geoladders, Calavera routes.... help?

Hey all, Im looking for someone that has that fancy pants GPS/Geoladders thing together that may be interested in mapping out my local ride . http://www.mountainbikebill.com/CalveraLake.htm

I'd like to make an all inclusive "every trail in a day" route, that would double back as little as possible, but hit all the good stuff. I've got a pretty good idea, but thought it would be fun to post one up on Geoladders.

anyone out there tooled up and interested in helping out?

I will of course, buy the post ride beers and pizza at Pizza Port.

I might be up for some new trails. I've put up a bunch of routes at GL.

How many miles do you think it will be?

That sounds interesting. There are so many short sections that can be linked together so many ways....and no reference map with trail names or numbers, so it makes it hard to describe to someone...I always start at the Lake apts parking, and most of the time do compressed S-shaped loops, with sections added or subtracted as time, partners, interest & conditions suggest. Looking forward to seeing your route.

...and sorry, no GPS, no helmet cam.

Hey Eric-- i think when all is said and done it could be about 12-15... maybe less.

my main loop is probably 6 miles, but i think that there is a lot more out there.

which Gps do you use to do this? i'm looking into getting one.

let me know!

With all the routes I've put up, I have yet to get any bonus points.

Maybe that's why I've got 20-30 still waiting to upload pics and directions.

I'm using a Edge 305.

Let me see what my schedule looks like. That's kind of a long drive for a 12-15 mile ride.

That's funny, I was looking riding Calavera this weekend, but I've never been there and didn't want to go without a guide.

I GPS all my routes with my Garmin 205. You can see how they're done via the blog in my sig if you're interested.

I don't know when specifically you wanted to do this ride, but let me know. I was hoping to get a ride in this Saturday afternoon, sometime after 2 PM. If that works for you, outstanding. If not, maybe some other time.

I work down the street from Calavera and have ridden there a bunch of times. I honestly don't think I've ever taken the same route but I've always had a blast. I keep forgetting to bring my little 205, it would be interesting.

Actually, I've got my bike, my light and my 205....just might head over there tonight.

I have a pretty cool route that I do at Calaveras that starts on the west side and combines both the north and south sides of the creek. I think I've also looped in all of the good S/T (although someone will surely disagree). Total miles is around 14.
The downside is that the damn is closed extending the loop around the north side of the lake which is not very exciting and forces you to use the crossing near the Riparian park (been a muddy mess lately). I'll post some pics later if you're interested.

Yeah, it's pretty dry for all the crossings right now, and you CAN pass over the damn.. just be cool and heads up if there is heavy machinery operating.

I can ride it Sat morning.. but have to be home by 3.
