LPQ Night Ride - 7:30 - 03-11-08

Since no one has posted yet, I'll keep the dream, also known as the Tuesday night ride, alive!

7:30 at the softball fields off Black Mountain road. We will still need lights.

This will be the usual - the top mesa, tunnels, cobbles, etc.

Yo guys, I can't make it this week. I have the in-laws coming for the weekend and I have a lot of stuff to do around the house.(like building my man-cave for a place to hide)

Hey didn't you tell me the in-laws were coming in last weekend when I asked you if you wanted to ride daily..... Nice

OK I don't really know how exactly to use the smileys to convey what it is that I am tying to imply. I suck at the internet

Hodges Wednesday was only me and Sladnas, so I canceled it. If you're in too, I can re-post it.

I'm not interesting enough to ride with to take away from the barren flatlands that is Hodges.

Hey thanks for the invite but this Wed. won't work I would like to ride hodges though. I live in Poway and have never ridden hodges. For the future though If you post it I will come.

B JA Mon, many thanks on the PUSH recomendation. Dailey was awesome because my bike ruled. OK except for the broken chain.... 3 breaks in 4 rides total on that chain..... I am getting a sram chain.....but not today.....So I will be riding the single toinght anyone else going to single it?

You guys are on your own tonight since I'm in Antelope Valley, but Offroadie has ridden this ride enough not to get lost (at least if he was paying attention)

I hope he was... I'm ok in tunnels but I'd never find it into tunnels from the top of that mesa!

You can skip the mesa part by turning right instead of left at the tree which dumps you along the fence we always take.

Hey I am pretty sure I can get us into the tunnels from the top of powerlines. I am finding my bearings thanks to eldoodler.

Yeah that's what I usually do - I turn right and then duck through an opening in the fence right down into tunnels. I didn't know about the part up on top til a few weeks ago. Its once I get up on the trails on top that I get lost. I probably just need to go through there once or twice when its not dark out!

They all pretty much lead back to the fireroad like little bean does. I'm not real clear on Sean's specific route.
