Time: 8am
Task: repair Meadows and Rock-it

Bring some comfortable clothes and a pair of working gloves.
Lunch will be provided

its time to give back people! As one of the first trails to reopen after the rains, its important to not let the trails at the park get any more eroded.

This is a re-schedule from the Feb 23 that was rained out.

Bump. I know most will be at Keyesville, but if you can come out to help, it would be appreciated. I'll be out there till about 11, then heading over to ride the St Paddy's day ride at noon.

First off, my appreciation to those who are volunteering their time to work on the trails!

However,
I know it's real easy to criticise trailwork when you didn't do the actual work, so I apologize, but some of the recently made waterbars/humps on Emerald Falls & Old Emerald are a little scary.
Especially on Emerald Falls. There are some speed bump-like water diverters that are larger than needed and placed after blind corners.
Just my two cents...

Don't know who did those, but the thinking is you build it up a little high and that it will flatten out eventually with traffic, well obviously that didn't happen. We did water bars on Silverado trail aka Motorway months back, but after riding it on one of the guided rides, we realized they too were built too high, so I along with 2 other WS members, Lone Wolf and Treve(STR's Pedalboy) went back just days before the VQ/CC and "tamed" them down. Maybe that's why I was so tired during the VQ. As far as placing them around blind corners,

You can just show up at 8am. I'm sure SHARE will have others not on this board show up. The more we can get out there, the faster the work will go and more we can do.

Duan, I would ride down to the Ranger station to receive instruction. Not sure how many will show or if we will split into 2 groups. I'm sure they(Jeff and Ken) have already a laid out plan on what needs to be done. I'm only working till 11 because I have to be at Santiago Oaks for Rut's ride at noon.
