On Sunday Sept 25th 8:00am.
This should be enough time for people to make plans to come on this ride. This is a really fun loop with somewhat a lot of climbing but the payoff on coming down Trabuco is much worth the effort. By this time the weather should be nice and cool. I can guarantee that this ride will be a blast especially if a lot of riders show up! If your interested leave a post so we know who can come. |

First do you have a SUV/ Truck because the road is really tore up and rocky ? Its a lot worse than a fire road. You should bring a bike pump extra tubes and lots of water (100 oz) and something to snack on. As far as the trail it self.. Expect a lot of single track climbing up Holy Jim and loose fire road climb up main divide Then a fast technical and fun singletrack down trabucco. Other than that it's a really good workout and is for the average rider. Expect 3-4 hours. If you have any Q"S P.M. me Glad you can make it! ![]() - mike |

Cool. Looks like I'm going to have to go out and get a bigger camelbak, which I have needed to do for awhile anyways. My current one is the traditional 2L camelbak which doesn't really have any storage space. I think I'm going to get the blowfish. As far as having a truck I drive a civic, so I guess I'm going to be parking at the entrance and riding in. \

Can someone post a short description of parking and the route?
I will do HJ before too long, but I just got back to town and have been so swamped with work over the past month that I'm really in no condition to hit a big-daddy like Holy Jim.... There really are NO hills in TX (at least where I rode)! I'm looking forward to scraping off the barnacles of work/research with some good ol'fashioned SoCal trial riding!!! \ / ...and it's a THICK layer of barnacles! ![]() I hope to get out there with some of you cats! |

Tex--welcome back! Hope to ride with you sometime during your stay. How long will you be here this time?
Mike--got your message. Unfortunately I'm working this Sunday and won't be able to make it. Next Sunday is wide open, though. Thinking maybe Harding to Santiago Peak or something similar. |

Sorry guys I thought I was going to get Sunday off, but as of 4:30 today I'm forced to work. I'm still going to go riding though, but I guess I'm going to hit the trail before 7 (6:30ish) that way I can make it to work by 11.
Okay so I know the trail starts about 5 miles down the road, but can anyone the me any landmarks to make turns at and stuff. If anyone wants to go with me early hit me up too. Thanks ahead of time and sorry to the group going. (I hate only working on weekends. On the other hand its nice cause I don't work during school days, but then I can't plan shit on the weekends. ![]() |
