These Mtns have been here a long time and there's so much history to the area that knowing some of the local lore is a major plus. C'mon up and ride!

Cool! Glad you all made it out and enjoyed a beautiful day while riding. That's a lot of climbing, considering you've been off the bike for a month. No wonder you were cramping! I still think climbing Lower Merrill is better then climbing the dreaded paved road. You become so focused on obstacles and switchbacks, it seems to pass quicker. Besides, it's more scenic and it's dirt!

Yes, nice trails out here and so much history behind them. Only if ruins could talk!

Sorry no action shots, we were running out of time, everybody had things to do.
As I said when we talked, the bike really rides well.

Yea Joetruth, it was a lot of climbing, surprisingly I feel pretty good today, a little sore, but not to sore to ride.Going to hit the loop in a few.

Santa Ana's lame??

What trails are you riding that are lame? Just curious.

Can't wait to ride the Gabes on a free weekend... maybe mid-April if no Bootleg.
