Sunday works for me. How about 8:00am with a 10 minute wait rule?

You snooze you lose

Nice Scott, so the plan is, im scooping up Rob at his house at 7, we will meet up with Scott on the corner of Chapman and Jamboree at 730, possibly sooner. From there he'll follow us in. If anyone else wants to meet up there thats cool.

Default Regarding this sunday

I live in long beach and just got a new trek 4500 with rock shox and deore derailers. I have only been mtb once at Fullerton and that was kickback. I wanted to do something more difficult and have sunday off. I was wondering if I could meet up with you guys? Thanks mike

Mike, anyone is always more than welcome to ride with us. I live in long beach too and am going on tomorrows ride. If you want, give me a call and I can give you more details about the ride. Shoot me a "PM" on here with your number and we'll talk later.

It is a lot of climbing, but if worse comes to worse, you can always turn around and head back and it is all down hill. Just make sure you are prepared with a hydration pack that holds at least 100oz. of water/gatorade/cytomax or whatever and you will want to bring some kind of snack.

Welcome to STR.

It's an easy climb with several options once we get to the Main Divide.

Plus we have a varied group and never leave anyone behind.

It's definitely worth the trip.

See ya tomorrow

To get to Maple Springs take the 22 east to the 55 north, get off on Chapman (1st exit) and take it east. Go all the way to Jamboree then Chapman turns into Santiago Canyon rd. Keep going on Santiago for approximately 4-5 miles then you'll come around a left hand turn/bend and you'll see Silverado Canyon rd on the left, turn left onto Silverado and follow it all the way back (another 4-5miles) till it dead ends.

Do you have a Camelback? Bring lots of water, sunscreen, and something to snack on.

Default maple springs loop

I dont have a camel back but I have an apollo snowboard back pack that has like a chest and waist strap in which I figure will work well. I have like a shell style skate helmet and ill just wear some dc shoes a t-shirt and some nike shorts and sunscreen, water/gatorade, a couple power bars and a lil towel I think that should be fine. I rode 10 mile loop today in long beach up and down hills on my trek and it was no problem for me.I'll try my best tomorrow to keep up. Thanks guys
P.S. A phone number and name would be helpful
