Default Sna Clemente single tracks: sat. 3/1 @8am

Anyone not riding the VQ/ CC want to hook up for a ride at SCST. I had to drop out of the CC since the wife is pregnant, but still want to get in a fun ride. I will be bringing the SS.

Meet at the dog park at 8am, riding by 8:30.

Exit Pico, go left. Right on La Plata and park where it dead ends at dog park.

This ride is still on. There is a small chance I will be bringing the gears, My front brake on the SS is acting up.

Since I can't volunteer for the CC/VC because of mom working overtime, I can at least sneak out for a ride in the morning.

Anyone know if la plata ave. connects to avenida la plata?

If you are talking about cutting over from Forester Ranch to San Clemente use Camino Vera Cruz via Camino de Los Mares or Hermosa. Turn left on to Pico, right on to Avenida La Plata. For now (and for some time to come if the Talegian's have any thing to say about it), La Plata and Avenida La Plata do not connect.

I had a great time, thanks to everyone on the ride. Found a couple of ticks after showering. Went to a movie and out for sushi later Sat Night with the wife and I felt like I had a bee sting on my side/back. Gross sure enough I had a tick buried into my skin. I my wife feaked out when I told her she had to pull it out cause I couldn't reach it. So the moral is, when in SCST don't freakin fall or else you'll become a host for ticks. On the huge fire brak edown hill section (knee high grass covering the ruts), I went ahead of the group to scout out the conditions and took these shots from the bottom with my cell phone.

A couple weeks ago the wife and I rode here, and we didn't do the tick check until shower time...yeppers found one on each of us.
Today we rode here, got home and did our tick check, fortunetly we came up tick free. By the way, for any of you that haven't ridden here, that fireroad descent is about 10x steeper than it looks in the pic
