San Juan Trail or Bust!

Ok... everyone knows that this is THE best trail to ride when it's been raining.... just makes it that much more fun to ride when coming down.

Meeting at the trail head and ready to ride at 9 am (for all you guys that like to sleep in a little!).

You'll need an Adventure Pass for parking at the trailhead... and a day pass can be purchased there.

This is not going to be a hammer ride... not with VQ next Sat... just a long steady climb and a very fun downhill. The idea is to ride at least to cocktail Rock and then decide if you want to do the upper loop.... maybe Viejo Tie too... who knows.

I'm leaving the SS at home and bringing the big squishy bike for downhill fun.

The weather was good this morning and the trail was even better. I started my climb up at 7:35AM from Lower San Juan. There were only a few wet spots. It was a great day for a ride!

Arrggh - up too late last night and overslept this morning. Woke up about 2 min before LoisMustDie was supposed to pick me up to carpool to the trail. Man, I needed that ride.



The web site says that Santiago Oaks is "open with some restrictions." Maybe I can get in a consolation ride this afternoon.
