You may want to check to see if LPQ is open after this last bit of rain. If it's open, have extra fun for me!!

But we've gone there right after a rain so it couldnt be much worse than that.. that wasnt bad at all. Let me know if your down to go though I'll take off work. I think I remember how to get to the tunnels haha

Default I hate to do this to ya again but,

I got this yesterday:

Quote:
We held out as long as we could, but we are going to have to CLOSE
ALL TRAILS. The weather report says showers on and off the rest of
the week. We had one day of open trails...

Everyone that rides SD should consider joining this group: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/MultiUseTrails/

We get updates like the above pretty regularly.

Thanks for the update guys I'll def join the group. Gotta make this a closed group ride for Tonight though don't want to piss anyone off. I'll open it up for rsvp's next week if the trail is officially open.

If the trail is not officially open wouldn't it be best to wait for next week altogether?

The bottom line is that LPQ is closed right now, it's in the best interest of ALL mountain bikers to stay away and wait a few days before you orginize a public or "private" ride.
I will be more than happy to ride with you when the park is back open.

Black Mountain is open, I called the Park to confirm, the Ranger said he just rode the park this morning and it's looking good, and Yes Rangers do ride Mountain Bikes.

Are you serious? Private ride as to not piss anyone off.

If it is closed, it is closed. I would venture to guess people will be more pissed when we lose complete access due to things like this.

Please people, if you care at all about the future of trail access in San Diego, use your head, be patient and if something is closed, it is closed.

I'd really like to know where the tunnels are at. Can someone help direct me to it.

If you're able to make the next Tuesday night ride, you'll get a full tour.

Cool. As soon as LPQ re-opens, the night rides will re-start. I'm sure it will need a few days to dry out, so I'm guessing a week from this Tuesday.
