Default I'm in for part of it.

Alright folks, this is going to be my first ride with STR folks and I'm looking forward to it. Only going to be able to hit it up for a little while though as I need to be in Monrovia by 11 am. Work calls. May have to bring a change of clothes and go straight there. Nothing like Helmet Hair for work. It will be a new look. No biggie, I'll be the only one there for most of the day and I work on a help desk.
I'll see you all at 8 am (Except you Brewmaster!! I'll see you before.)

20 miles, any idea on elevation gain? seems like lots of people need to be somewhere at 11am. I don't know the area, but unless there is some serious climbing 20 miles should not take longer than 2 and a half hours.

Aaron breaks his bike a lot, so expect pause and rest at times.

There was some rain here in OC yesterday and I have heard CHSP is usually closed for quite a while after it rains. Anyone know if the park was closed after the rain?

I live at the base of Green River Chino Hills side, we had zero rain, Not even a sprinkle. Not sure about the rest of the park

Hopefully we don't hear AAARGH! from you on the day of the ride, that is never a good sign.

I know lots of people have to be somewhere by a certain time (work and such), but I am all in for staying out there a little longer if anyone is so inclined and has the time.

I haven't ridden there, and don't know anyone that's going. Where are people meeting up, should I look for something specific?

From what I understand (someone correct me if I am wrong) you take the 91 to green river rd. and head north of the freeway. Follow that road around along the north side of the freeway and there will be an area on the right (before you get to the golf course) where you can park. There will probably be lots of other cars there parked with people getting their bikes ready to go on the santa ana river trail.
